Can the TSF be passed onto consumers?
Ontario Tire Stewardship, under the terms and conditions of the Waste Diversion Act, is empowered to establish and levy fees on Stewards, and to fund the collection and management of used tires. Ontario Tire Stewardship has no authority or mandate or determine how Stewards manage the Tire Stewardship Fees (TSFs) within their companies. Many Stewards may likely decide to pass along the TSF as part of the charges to consumers.
