Can the Trustee charge the School Nutrition Program a commission transfer fee on investment income?

0

Section 8-11-110(f) provides that the Trustee can take 1/4 % commission on school food service funds however the commission cannot be taken from the school food service funds. The commission must be taken from other school funds or the General fund, which ever one the county commission authorizes. Because of the small percentage and the fact that it does not come from the school food service fund Trustees do not normally take commission on school food service funds. Interest earned on school food service funds is considered program revenue and therefore probably should not have Trustees commission deducted directly from it.
