As far as we are aware, the only likely issue which will compromise the test procedure is if the pH of the sample drops to 5 or below. Neutral to alkaline pH does not cause a problem. For salt water, heavily chlorinated or sanitised water or product contaminated by chemical spillage, Coliquik should be used. In other cases, if you are not sure then it is advisable to do a test run and see if the test appears to run normally.
