The device as a whole cannot be autoclaved, but the telescopic filling tube made of Teflon can be autoclaved up to the permitted temperature of 121 °C. It is important not to separate the two parts of the tube for autoclaving and to wait for the tube to cool down completely before inserting it back in the Top Buret.
