Can the sponsoring supervisor decide the method of transportation for interns to and from events?
Sponsoring supervisors are to treat PROMISE interns as they would other OSU or agency employees. If interns drive their own personal vehicle, the supervisor must reimburse them for their mileage expenses, just as they would any other employee. If the department/unit provides a state vehicle, the intern and the supervisor must follow all of the same procedures that would occur for a regular employee, i.e. pre-registration, etc.
