Can the signals of the Saver damage dolphins or their echolocation?
No, this is impossible. First of all the Saver signals are transmitted at an output (measured in dB = decibels) of the same intensity (loudness) as the dolphins use for their own echo-location signals. Dolphins live in groups and use echolocation all the time so the level of loudness of their own signals which is about equal to that of the Saver is certainly not harmful to them. Secondly, the signal-field of a Saver around a net is very low in intensity at longer distance (above 200 meters) and then becomes stronger as the dolphin approaches the net. So, if the signal intensity would bother a dolphin as it approaches the Saver signals it would have ample time to turn around and swim out of the signal field. Note: There has been news about the testing of a sonar-device by the US Navy and the damage this has done to dolphins and whales. Please realize that this concerns a high-power, low frequency, long range sonar-system to detect submarines. It has nothing to do at all with the Saver w
