A8: No, absolutely not! Due to the nature of the transmission, limited reach especially close to ground etc. it cannot be assured that all signals are continously received. The SBS-1 is a fantastic device for training, air traffic enthusiasts and other, even semi-professional use. But it definetely no navigational instrument, whether to be used on the ground or on an aircraft!
