Can the SAVR and SAVR2 communicate with more than one device at the same time?
• Yes. The SAVR and SAVR2 can send or receive messages on all three control channels simultaneously. Is there any sample source available to help developers get started? • Yes, there are some basic utilities for linux which are available on the SAVR and SAVR2 technical resources page Can the SAVR and SAVR2 use more than one command language at the same time? • Yes. Each of the 3 control channels on the sAVR and SAVR2 can be configured independantly. Can the SAVR or SAVR2 interpret IR commands from a programmable remote and respond with customizable messages? • No. The SAVR and SAVR2 have a very basic internal processor that is only intended to provide direct translation of messages, it is not capable of performing more complex logic and this type of behavior would have to be controlled from a computer. Can the SAVR or SAVR2 drive common IR emitters for devices that don’t have cable remote jacks? • This is a qualified yes. The SAVR cannot. The SAVR2 can be modified to perform this task.
