Can the S100 be configured for automated movement or tasks?
The current version of the S100 uses an “open loop” control system that relies on operator attention to positioner movements as depicted on the SEM screen. A version of the S100 with “closed loop” robotic movement will be available this year (2006). Future customer demand and applications opportunities will guide Zyvex’s development of automation for the S100.
