Can the running speed of humans get faster or have we reached the zenith?
The human body does have it s limits but, we haven’t reached those limits yet. – To reach those limits we either have to allow for the gradual change in our own evolution, a change which we reduce because we adjust our environment to fit ourselves not the other way around. For example we wear glasses instead of attempting to breed out the tendency for weak eyes. – Which leads to method number two we can use genetics to improve the species, which has shades of Hitler’s Eugenic program, the Holocaust and the work of many comic book mad scientists. This option is about as popular as sticking a fork in your own eye would be. It hasn’t quite been outlawed yet because no one has improved the technology or tried a program like this since Hitler. – You could allow steroids and human growth hormone to be used. Regulated and under control it would create a group of freakishly strong and fast athletes with a host of side effects and other problems; a decision that would be as popular as trying to
