Can the Roots replace a GPS mushroom antenna?
A GPS Mushroom antenna is an all weather GPS antenna designed to be able to place the GPS antenna outside for better GPS reception. The Amarylllo ROOTS GPS receiver is IPX7 compliant. This means that you can use the ROOTS outside exposed to the weather and water. The ROOTS has a magnet build in so can be clicked on any metal surface. The ROOTS receiver is a Sirf Star 3 High sensitive receiver so can be used inside or outside of the cabin. There is no need to place the receiver on top of a mast.
