Can the rents, profits and other benefits be appropriated towards the satisfaction of the debt?

0

The mortgagee may retain possession of the mortgaged property and receive and apply the rents and profits made available from the property during the same time towards the satisfaction of the debt. He is entitled to retain such possession until complete payment of the mortgage money. Such transaction is called a “usufructuary mortgage”.
