See: Sealing and Destroying Records Only in diverted cases. If a youth has only one referral or diversion (see explanation of diversion), and all terms of the diversion have been successfully completed, the record can be destroyed after two years and the youth is 18 years of age. If the record consists of more than one referral, but all are diversions that have been successfully completed, the record can be destroyed at age 23. Records of a criminal offense that was adjudicated (it went through court) cannot be destroyed.
