Can the proof of English proficiency requirements be waived in my case?
If you do not have any of the proofs of English proficiency listed in the UBC Calendar, but feel that you have other proof which demonstrates your English ability, please contact the Admissions office at UBC. We must warn you beforehand that excellent communication skills will be a requirement of acceptance to the program. The university has a minimum level of English proficiency established which we must follow. Past experience has shown that most students do poorly in their courses if their English is not sufficient.
