Can the Power Terms be typed into the query or must they be picked from the pop-up?

Yes. The pop-up list is a convenient way to enter the Power Terms, but you can also enter a Power Term by typing it directly in the Search box. But be sure to check the full list of Power Terms periodically, as Quertle will be adding new Power Terms all the time.
