Can the police do anything about fireworks?

0

Other than New Year’s Day, Chinese New Year, Diwali and Guy Fawkes night, when fireworks are permitted until midnight, The Fireworks Regulations 2004 prohibit the use of fireworks between 11pm and 7am. The same regulations ban possession of fireworks by children, fireworks put in letter boxes or causing criminal damage, throwing fireworks in the streets or at individuals and fireworks set off within 25 metres of a main road. Since the police are the enforcers of these regulations, if they are not complied with, the offender can be reported and punished.
