Can the PC2S be built with multiple cylinders?

Yes. Its simplest and most efficient configuration would be two opposed cylinders. This would provide two power pulses for every full revolution of the output shaft which is the same number of power pulses per revolution as in four-cylinder crankshaft engines? Any number of these two-cylinder configurations can be arranged to operate side by side and in any angular orientation. Therefore, there is no limit to the number of cylinders that can be built into an engine and since each is perfectly balanced, they can be arranged in angular orientations that provide evenly spaced power pulses throughout each revolution. But also keep in mind that since there are no constraints on stroke to bore ratio, the two-cylinder configuration can be designed with sufficiently large cylinder bores to produce the same power as much larger crankshaft engines.
