Can the NetCam be used, when a firewall is used to access the network?
If there is a firewall on the network, the 80th port is open for ordinary data communication. However, since the NetCam transmits image data on the 8839th port it is necessary to open this port on the Firewall for access to the NetCam. In most cases a firewall only gives access via the 80th port because of network security. In this case remote users can access the NetCam images with the “Server Push Viewer”, which can be reached from the Main Viewer by selecting “Image Viewers”, “Others”. The Server Push Viewer enables communication through the 80th port. In this case images resolution and frame rate are somewhat lower than the original. Another method could be changing image transmission port from the 8839th port to the 8080th port. This setting can be changed at the “User Custom Configuration” link of the Administrator page.
