can the multi fuel thermal store meet hot water demand?
Just as with any other hot water vessel, the increased demand means a larger thermal store. We also increase the hot water coil length or surface area of the heat exchneger to improve the ability of the cylinder to heat the water at faster flow rates. A small thermal store will not meet instant high demand, just as a small hot water cylinder wouldn’t. Use of corrosion inhibitor chemicals in the thermal store system Because the water inside the thermal store is the ‘system water’ it must be treated with corrosion inhibitor, like any other water in the heating system. Insufficient dosing will adversely affect your warranty. Please carefully check that you have added the correct amount of inhibitor per 100 litres of thermal store volume + system volume. Inhibitor is not expensive – between £7 and £15 for a tub which will treat around 100 litres of system water. A thermal store cylinder does not require the annual inspection that an unvented cylinder requires. Technical links: information
