Can the miScript PCR System be used to detect mRNA?
Yes. Detection of miRNAs and mRNAs from the same cDNA synthesis reaction allows simultaneous detection of miRNAs and reference genes, such as GAPDH, or any other mRNAs of interest, such as the mRNA targeted by a particular miRNA. For miRNA detection, real-time PCR is performed using a miScript Primer Assay and the miScript Universal Primer (provided in the miScript SYBR Green PCR Kit) along with QuantiTect SYBR Green PCR Master Mix (provided in the miScript SYBR Green PCR Kit). For mRNA detection, real-time PCR is performed using a QuantiTect Primer Assay along with QuantiTect SYBR Green PCR Master Mix (provided in the miScript SYBR Green PCR Kit).
