Can the mind really heal the body?
I work on a ward that investigates heart disease, a lady was having an angiogram and was petrified of the sight of blood , the angiogram is performed by making a small cut in the groin and a fine catheter insrted into the main artery,after the catheter has been taken out there is the small cut , being a main artery if it bleeds you can bleed to death so you have to apply pressure to the wound in the groin, the lady was saying to herself the whole time please do not bleed please heal , after fifteen minutes of applying pressure the wound had totally healed, the consultant who had performed the angiogram could not believe it, there was no evidence of the angiogram taking place! he said the lady had willed the sight to heal by itself!!!
