Can the Los Angeles Dodgers Win the World Series?
The Los Angeles Dodgers have the second best record in baseball, but you rarely hear them discussed when people are mentioning the World Series contenders for 2009. You hear about the Yankees, Red Sox, and Angels in the American League, and in the National League, it’s all about the Philadelphia Phillies and the St. Louis Cardinals. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were people who thought that the Rockies had a better shot at the world series than the LA Dodgers do. Despite this, this is a team that has won 90 games and should finish the 2009 regular season with somewhere between 95 and 100 wins. This is very impressive, and all the more impressive when you consider the fact that the team has remained at the top of its division for basically the entire season.
