Can the Library provide access to electronic journals?
Edinburgh University Library provides access to a wide range of e-journals. You can reach the titles both through the Catalogue using the ‘Simple Search’ and the ‘Search Builder’ mechanisms, and through the browseable (browsable) list of Electronic journals. Notes for accessing via the Catalogue: Simple Search: Go to the Catalogue Choose ‘Search Catalogue’, which will open at the ‘Simple Search’ screen. If the journal you are looking for is ‘Education next’, enter that title in the ‘Find’ box. Make sure ‘Title’ or ‘Journal title’ is highlighted in the ‘Search by’ box. ALSO make sure that the ‘Quick Limits’ box is highlighted at option ‘E-journals’. Click ‘Search’. Find access to your e-journal. Search Builder: Go to the Catalogue Choose ‘Search Catalogue’, then ‘Search Builder’. Searching with this mechanism requires the ‘Set Limits’ tool to be turned on. ‘Set Limits’ is on the right of the ‘Search Builder’ screen.
