Can the length of the sensor cable be increased?
The length can be increased up to 600 ft (200 m) using an AWG cable. The cable splice in the sensor must have the following properties: good electric contact, good insulation between wires, and good protection against humidity. Provided you meet these three requirements, you can use any means to make the splice, like soldering or some type of connector (Sindal or others). Then you must use a self-fusion tape to protect the splice against humidity.
