No. ATA/ID uses vendor unique commands allowing the user to perform PGD clean as well as SMART clean. However, these functions are vendor unique and we do not support all of the commands. Second, experience has taught us that problems tend to return even after the SMART system has been cleaned. For SCSI drives, there is a way to clean the defect list, but we experience very similar problems.
