Can the information on my payWave chip be used to commit payWave fraud against my account?
No. The information contained on the chip does not include any information specific to your identity or your checking account. The information transmitted when your card is read changes with each transaction and is only sufficient to do a single transaction at that time. Therefore, the information cannot be used to make subsequent payWave transactions.
