Well, it would only solve the illegal Mexican immigrants problem, but it will not solve the overall illegal immigrants problems, since illegal immigrants came from all over the place and all do not cross the USA-Mexico border. Annexing both Mexico and Canada though would mean that the new North American country would have relatively little land border, making securing land border much more easier. Note: It’s actually much easier to sneak into the USA from Canada than Mexico, since the land border is longer and the population density lower. However, it’s much colder and the weather sometimes don’t cooperate. As for rights and freedom. Believe or not, Mexicans probably actually is relatively much freer than their USA counterparts, since the law enforcement is much more relaxed and trouble makers are handled more stricter.
