Can The Giants Change The Story?
Tom Coughlin at last week’s loss (AP) After a Sunday full of embarrassment on the field, the Giants spent the week getting disappointing news off the field. The injury bug has hit the team with a vengeance this week. Mathiaus Kiwanuka, the multi-talented end/linebacker, will miss at least a few games with a bulging disk in his neck. Shaun O’Hara will not be able to suit up on Sunday, Osi Umenyiora and Rocky Bernard are questionable while Keith Bullock is doubtful. As if the injuries weren’t enough, Sunday Night’s matchup presents the Giants with a unique problem in the form of Devin Hester. Hester, the best return man in the NFL, will face the incredibly poor Giants special teams and it could get ugly. The Giants should have begged Jeff Feagles to come out of retirement because Matt Dodge punting to Devin Hester is a frightening proposition.
