Can the GateKeeper administrative functions be distributed?
The GateKeeper administration software, GateAdmin, can be installed on any client PC that has a connection to the SQL database. Separating administration of the GateKeeper from the GateKeeper itself yields numerous advantages. For example, the GateKeeper host PC can be maintained in relative isolation in a server room, while network administration functions can be performed in any office with a PC hosting GateAdmin. The task of administering user accounts and phone records can be offloaded to data-entry personnel, and multiple GateAdmin clients can be installed on the network.
