Can the Game Be Beaten by Counting the Cards?

Spanish 21 is one of the new casino games that was quick to gain wide popularity among gamblers. The game has its root in Blackjack as the rules are very similar to each other. Sometimes called Spanish Blackjack, the game is popularly known in Malaysia and Australia as Pontoon. Just like Blackjack, the object of the game is to beat the dealer by getting a hand totaling more than the dealer has, without going over twenty-one. If the player’s hand exceeds twenty one, it is called “bust” and the player has already lost regardless whether the dealer goes bust or not. The game is played with the same Blackjack rules of standing and hitting, double down, split, insurance, and surrender. If you have played Blackjack and is comfortable with its rules, then you should have no trouble with Spanish 21. The game uses 6 decks of cards placed in a shoe and is dealt in the same manner as in Blackjack. About the only marked difference is that each deck has only 48 cards as oppose to a standard 52 card
