Can the fountains be used outdoors?
Yes, our fountains do very well in an outdoor setting. The acrylic used withstands the harshest environments. Wood, on the other hand does not hold up nearly as well as acrylic. Wood consideration is important if you plan on keeping your fountain outside. White oak, cedar, and redwood are all woods that do very well outdoors. It would be best to place your fountain in a spot that is under cover, perhaps on a deck, porch, or patio.
You could use it outdoors if erected in an enclosed area, but you have to consider such things as the weather (wind will blow the chocolate), flying insects will also be attracted to the smell of the chocolate, and will get stuck in the flow and contaminate it; but the most important bit is that the fountains MUST be on even and level ground.
