Can the flower Carnation, be bought as a seed?
The huge Carnation flowers bought from florist shops are hybrids that are grown from cuttings, rather than from seed (they were initially bred by growing seeds though). Otherwise, you can grow some smaller Carnation plants by seed, quite easily. Some are annual, others are perennial – lasting for a few years.
