Can the Fire and Rescue Service provide a fire safety report of a business premises I wish to purchase in Cornwall?
Yes – and we would strongly recommend that you make the enquiry before completion. The existence or not of a fire certificate could be crucial. If we receive a request from a professional body i.e. Solicitor, Estate Agent etc. acting for a purchaser, then subject to agreement by the existing owner we can provide a standard report covering general fire safety matters, as recorded at the time of the last visit. There may be a charge for this service.
