Can the Filter Pumper be used to pump gasoline, diesel, or other petroleum fuels?

No! During normal operation the Filter Pumper can generate static electricity. If this static were to buildup and spark to a nearby ground source it could ignite the fumes of the fuel being pumped. This is a major safety risk. Do not use the Filter Pumper to pump fuels. We offer a Static Dissipating Filter Pumper for diesel, kerosene, and solvent. It is also great for work spaces where spark or open flame could be harmful or fatal. Static dissipating pumps have red molded plastics to differentiate the pumps. Please check out our page for static pumps.
