Can the filler on the rebel be mounted next to the #3 rib instead of the #4 rib?
A. No, this is not recommended. The wing has a 1 degree dihedral. As a result, placing the filler next to the #3 rib would decrease the amount of fuel able to enter into the wing, thus decreasing the fuel capacity. In other words, the filler neck would overflow if it were at rib sta. 3, well before it filled the 3rd bay.
