Can the Extruder be autoclaved?
A The Extruder can be steam sterilized at 121°C for 20 minutes. Both the quick release cap and pressure release valve should be left open during the sterilization process. However, the high pressure nitrogen delivery line incorporating the green plug valve and high pressure safety release valve should not be steam sterilized. This component can be sanitized using 70% ethanol or sterilized in a specialized facility using ethylene oxide.
