Can The Essential Oil Of Lavender Alter Hormones?
The following comes to us from Kayla Fioravanti…….. This comes from a very unscientific statement that a doctor in Colorado made regarding lavender and tea tree essential oils. He had three male patients that presented with prepubertal gynecomastia (enlarged breasts in males). He determined that because they were using shampoo, soap and hair products that contained lavender and tea tree essential oils that these must have been the cause of the enlarged breasts. I can tell you that my son has been exposed to higher than normal levels of lavender essential oil and has never developed any sign of gynecomastia. He has grown up and worked in my manufacturing facility for the past 11 years with no ill effect. I’ve attached Robert Tisserand’s response to this study. He is one of the most respected researchers in the aromatherapy industry.
