Can the Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper and the Epson Matte Paper Heavyweight be used in older Epson printers?

The Epson Matte Paper Heavyweight has shown fairly good compatibility with the older printers. Epson said that the Premium Glossy (when it becomes available) can be used on the older printers with limited success — because it is an RC type paper.
