Can the ELPI™ be used on an inclined plane?
ELPI™ can be used in vertical or horizontal position. The particles residence time in the impactor small enough so that the gravimetric force has negligible effect on particle trajectories. However, remember to make sure that the air circulation inside the ELPI™ cabinet is not affected (the power supply fan circulates the air inside the cabin). If particles are collected on collection substrates for further chemical or gravimetric analysis, this result can be affected by the position of the ELPI™.
