Can the DSP404 be reinitialized remotely?
Yes, but only through a serial port or network connection (not via a radio and DTMF command). It cannot be done directly through RCI (to minimize the chance of it happening accidentally). Once connected to the controller via serial or the network (telnet or ssh), get to the root:~> prompt (if at the DSP4> prompt, press CTRL-X). Then to reinitialize, type “reinit” (and press ENTER) followed by “reboot”. The controller will restart using the default settings. If you later want to restore the old settings, from the root:~> prompt type “undo-reinit” followed by “reboot”.
