Can the customer use the cornice as a shelf?
YES. The cornice is designed with an insert at the top. This insert is made to accept a piece of 1/4″ MDF plywood for a shelf. The shelf will sit flush to the top of the cornice so it will never be seen from the floor. The cornice is designed to create a lightweight shelf capable of holding 20 – 25 LBS, allowing the customer to place other decorative elements to further accent your window. These accents could be just about anything like baskets, silk greenery, or any other decorative accents.
