Can the custody of a child be decided without the mum present?
Yes it is allowed… My fiance is going through a very messy custody battle against his ex-wife. He doesn’t want full custody – Only the opportunity to be able to see his kids whenever he wants and to have them of a weekend. This isn’t a lot to ask for considering he was the one who always looked after the kids and that his ex-wife is an alcoholic. My fiance hasn’t seen his children for over 12 months now because the ex refuses to show up at court. There is a final date set in March, and the judge has stated that if she doesn’t turn up this time, the case will carry on without her. Every time she doesn’t turn up to court, it’s giving her a bad strike. Getting back to the subject… Why wasn’t the mum there? If she knew it was the final case, she should have been there, because it always goes ahead and of course, it makes her look bad.
