Can the Council offer free parking to encourage customers to shop?
Controlled parking is supported by both businesses and residents as it ensures a turnover of the limited supply parking spaces. If parking was free in the borough, we would be unable to prevent a vehicle remaining outside your shop for days, weeks or even months, and that wouldn’t be good for business.
