Can the CDs be installed on a school network?

0

The CDs are designed to support whole-class teaching and have not been developed for independent learning by pupils bringing up a file on a network. The interactive files for use on an interactive whiteboard cannot be accessed via a server (apart from the new Promethean ACTIVnet system) the CDs must be installed on the host PC or laptop that is connected to the whiteboard or digital projector. It is possible for the Word files to be accessed via a server from a network machine, but be cautious. If they are freely accessed they can be modified by users and the original files corrupted. Some protection such as read only should be offered. Check with your Network Manager or LEA ICT team. Please note that the tests have two files one with the answers! Do not allow these to be accessed by pupils.
