Can the cart roll on stone driveways / walkways?
Yes. The large wheels allow for easy moving over rough surfaces. May I still use my old cans for trash collection? No. This system requires specific carts for collection. However, this is an opportune time to utilize your old trashcans for Monday’s vegetation collection of grass, twigs and leaves. Will this new system affect the way I recycle? No. Continue to use your yellow recycling bucket for plastic, paper and glass. Place the recycling bucket next to the cart, with a 4-foot clearance. May I place unbagged / loose trash in the new cart? No. This will only invite insect and odor problems. Please continue to bag and seal garbage properly and place it in the cart. May grass and leaves be placed in the cart? No. These items will continue to be recycled on Mondays, township wide. These items are not to be considered trash, but your old trashcans may be used for Monday’s collection. May I place hazardous waste materials in the cart?
