Can the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome be prevented?
While surgery and conservative measures have both proven to be fairly effective in treating CTS, there is no better substitute than taking all of the necessary steps to help prevent this painful and debilitating syndrome from occurring. There are several steps one could take decrease the probability of acquiring CTS; one of which is the use of specifically designed splints that maintain the wrist and hand in a proper position during work activities. One such splint that is very beneficial is the Carpal Mate.
