Can the carer cook me some breakfast and a hot meal at lunch time?

There are certain things that the carer is not allowed to do, due to health & safety or other regulations and policies. We can’t allow them to do bacon and eggs for instance, but they will be able to use a microwave to cook porridge. We no longer provide a call to cook a lunch or dinner, unless this is an assessed need (i.e. the social worker has decided this is part of your care plan), but there are lots of other means by which you can get a hot meal delivered to your home. Your social worker can advise you, or call the Adult Contact Team on 01302 737391 for advice.
