Can the built-in flash memory be formatted with the unit?
Yes, you can use the unit to format the built-in flash memory. If memory is formatted, all data previously stored in the memory will be erased. Be sure to verify the data stored in the memory prior to formatting. Notes: • If memory is formatted, all data is erased. Formatted data cannot be restored. • The MP3 File Manager software and the MP3 audio files transferred with this software are erased as a result of formatting. You can restore the MP3 File Manager software from the bundled CD-ROM or download it from website (link to MP3 File Manager download page). • Can the unit be used for saving data other than music data? Yes, you can store a variety of data as well as music data to the built-in flash memory using Windows Explorer. The built-in flash memory is displayed in the Windows Explorer or My Computer as an external drive (e.g. D:).
