A touchscreen QWERTY slider with BlackBerry 6 software goes for search and social skills. The Torch has a 5 megapixel camera with flash, image stabilization and continuous autofocus, which can also record 640 by 480 video. The BlackBerry camera app has always been one of the simpler ones on the market. BlackBerry 6 gives it new features and a simpler interface that brings key functions to the Torch’s touch screen, rather than buried in a menu. With the new camera interface we can turn off the flash, detect the location to use as a file name and switch to party mode to cope with low light, all from the icons on screen. The scene modes are what you’d expect on a compact digital camera; different modes for landscape shots, fast action sports and photos of people.
