Anything that thickens or is thicker in consistency than standard formula can prevent the Controlled Flow Baby Feeder from functioning properly, especially at levels 1 and 2. Also, any additives that can clump when not shaken well can clog and prevent the baby from receiving oral nutrition. If fortifiers or enriched formula is essential, you may be able to utilize levels 3 – 5 without clogging.
